samba problem...................

Da sve nebude ka po loju, uvik nešto.....................
Da najprije objasnin situaciju............
Znaći mreža se sastoji od:
ADSL modem
Wireless Ruter Linksys WRT54GL
Mrežni player muzike Squeezebox reciver ( ethernet )
Squeezebox duet controler - daljinski za upravljanje recivera ( wifi )
PC win XP ( ethernet )
Laptop win XP ( wifi )
Server - Ubuntu 8.04.2 server

Na serveru je samba, transmission 1,51 za torente, squeezecenter server za muziku koji triba za rad squeezecentra, i webmin.
Najprije je bija Freenas, ta transmission i squeezecenter, radija je ka sat, ali nije ima podršku za print server, i fs je bija UFS pa me malo bilo straj, jel ipak je ext3 podržan svugdi, postoji live cd od raznih distribucija, bla bla, freenas na bazi freebsd, itd,
I tako ja instaliran xubuntu, jel bez gui se baš i nisan snalazija, a tija san nešto lakše za celeron 800, i 384mb rama, i to sve super radi dok radi, radi bez greške, ali neće svaki put iz prve proradi kako triba pa neki servisi nebi radili................
Tako san ima dva dana odlućija ubuntu server stavit, isprinta san uputstva itd, i sve prošlo super, webmin, squeezecenter, malo me transmission zahebava al san i njega rješija, i sad sve radi ka sat, pali iz prve na po kljuća :mrgreen: , i sad iz webmina san iša sambu podesit, sve super i to, dva korisnika, itd, radi, uplain PC na njemu neće............
Kad iden na view workgroup computers xp izba ci mi workgroup is not accessible. you might not have permission to use this network resource. .....
Nisan ima pojma šta i izludilo me, više ni sa laptopa nije moglo ništa, onda san prominija IP na serveru i sve proradilo........, :misli , nakon restarta opet ništa, istu poruku izbaci, ali mapirani network drive se vidi normalno?????????, nevidu ni xp jedan drugoga................., ping prolazi u svin kombinacijama......, mrežni player uredno radi........,
Kad se zaustavi samba server onda win xp view workgroup computers onda sve normalno........
Ništa mi nije jasno...................

Sory na ovoj kobasici od posta, al mi se ćini bolje dat sve informacije,

Trebao bi otkomentirati ovu liniju. S obzirom da si definirao korisnike ostaviš ovo. Ako staviš security = share znači da svi mogu pristupiti tvom serveru bez autentifikacije.

Uspija san rješit......
Izvadija san netaknuti smb.conf file iz samba paketa, i stavija ga i krenija izpoćetka.........,
Sad iman drugi problem, kad kad nešto skinen iz transmissiona nemogu to obrisat, neman ovlasti........
Kreirat mogu i brisat, kad sa chown -Rv username /dir prominin korisnika na svoje ime onda mogu obrisat ali do idućega fila koji se skine, i opet nemogu brisat?????? jel ima neko rješenje?

Pogledaj tko je vlasnik napravljenih datoteka. Ako je smbguest, onda to nisi ti, pa zato i nemaš pravo pisanja po tim datotekama. Tada u smb.conf-u samo moraš postaviti svoj username da se koristi kao samba guest account (makar je to potencijalni security leak, to mi je prvo palo na pamet). Drugo bi možda mogao probati staviti da se prilikom generiranja fajlova u shareanom folderu automatski postavljaju permissioni.

Prilažem svoj smb.conf da ti bude vodič:

Izgleda da nije do sambe, iako je disk i svi direktoriji stavljen vlasnik pinco, ono šta transmission downloada postne root vlasnik........, nije mi jasno kako......

Aha, onda sam krivo shvatil tvoj problem. Ja sam mislil da nemaš pravo brisati ono kaj ti dođe prek sambe. U tom slučaju provjeri pod kojim se ovlastima izvodi transmission. Ako se izvodi pod root ovlastima, onda sve fajlove koje on stvori su automatski pod root-om.

Teoretski sa "ps aux | grep transmission", no upravo sam instalirao transmission i probao i čini se da se (barem kod mene) izvodi pod mojim ovlastima i ne kao daemon. Kod tebe je valjda drukčije... No sve u svemu, taj program je za skidati torrente, a pola normalno-očekivanih opcija mu fali. Moja preporuka je Azureus (Vuze).

Sad san na poslu, dobro si me podsjetija na to kako se izvodi transmission, možda san u skriptu za pokretanja deamona stavija sudo isprid..........., pogledaću kad dođen doma,
Šta se transmissona tiće meni radi OK, bilo mi je bitno da radi priko weba, na serveru, zato san odabra njega, možda to mogu i drugi neznan, nisan gleda......

U međuvremenu sam vidio tu njegovu web server podršku - jako zgodan feature koji vuze nema. No on tada nužno mora raditi pod rootom - jer samo root ima pravo podići server na portovima manjim od 1024 (a web server je na 80).

A ako si stavil da se daemon podiže prilikom paljenja sustava (/etc/init.d skripta), onda čak nisi ni moral staviti sudo - te skripte se ionako izvršavaju kao root.

Sad po meni, stvar možeš riješiti tako da natjeraš transimission da se vrti pod userom (ali tada zaboravi na port 80, probaj 8080 (ili 9091, što je defaultno za transmission)), no tada moraš napraviti pametnu /etc/init.d skriptu (pokreći sa 'su tvojusername -c "skripta_koja_pokreće_transmission_daemon"') koja će ti pokrenuti daemon pod tvojim imenom, iako ga pokreće root.

Također možeš stvar ostaviti tako pa onda napraviti neku skripticu koja ti chmod-a/chown-a sve fajlove u tvom download-folderu prije nego kaj ga otvoriš. It's your choice.
