Koristio sam uobicajene aplikacije: uredski paket, obradu slika, gledanje video materijala. Dakle, nista posebno, stvari koje standardno koristim u vecini slucajeva.

Koristio sam Calculate par dana, medjutim nije mi se svidio i nije me bilo volja učiti kako ispod haube radi. Sabayon sam spomenuo jer je to prva distra koju sam koristio a da je bazirana na Gentoo.

Nije stvar u programima koje ti ili ja koristimo. Što će ti rolling release distra ako odmah nakon instalacije ne provjeriš koliko updatea ima i ne instaliraš ih? Meni je provjera imal li updatea jedna od prvih stvari nakon instalacije, neovisno o distri i alatima kojima ću se koristiti.Uglavnom, imam vrlo loše iskustvo sa updateima na Calculate linuxu pa sam htio znati da li i drugi imaju ta iskustva. Možda netko ima super iskustva. Samo sam htio dodatne informacije.

Što ima veze da je distra izašla u ožujku.Rolling distre imaju update svako malo.U Sabayonu je bilo barem jednom tjedno. Evo sada u Archu gotovo dnevno. Pardus koji si nekada koristio,koliko ja znam, je započeo kao Gentoo fork. Poslije je postao independent distra sa svojim package managerom. Sve su to odbaclli i postali još jedan Debian fork. Originalni Pardus naslijedio je Pisi linux. Sada je RC2 verzija aktualna,pa ako želiš probati ...

To je rolling release distribucija. Apdejta nekada može biti i više puta dnevno. To i jeste poenta rolling distribucije. Ako ne želiš stalno da apdejtuješ onda je možda bolje da razmotriš alternative tipa Slackware, Debian, CentOS..

Hvala na sugestijama. Pravo sam se, tek, uklopio sa ovom distrom i legla mi je nekako. Mnogo vise vremena provodim radeci u njoj nego na drugim ili na win 8.1. Malo mi fale neke sitne finese. Nisam uspio instalirati javu a sve ostalo, uobicajene aplikacije koje koristim, dobro funkcionise. CentOS inace koristim na PC a Debian je u Pardus-u kojeg takodje koristim.
