Dobro, naravno da je i to moguće. Kojim načinom da vidim koji je to dio hardwera i dali kaj znači što sa live usb sve radi i vidi sve diskove i gparted sa live radi i usb creator sa live rade?

Nije bilo ispisa od sudo fdisk -l, moja greška, potkrao se razmak između "-" i "l", kojeg ne smije biti.
U dmesg fd0 nema veze, floppy kontroler je uključen u BIOS-u pa kernel učitava driver za njega a ne pronalazi floppy. Ako se isključi u BIOSU, nestat će i warninga u dmesg.
Izgleda da disk nije bio pravilno isključen pa je izbacio ovu poruku:

Mislim da bi najjednostavnije bilo pogledati u synapticu koji je najnoviji kernel i instalirati ga. Ako bude sreće, to bi trebalo ponovo podesiti drivere na najbezbolniji i najbrži način.

GUI način:
Otvorite Synaptic, upišite u polje za pretragu: linux-image
Kad prikaže stavke, odaberite onu s najvećim brojem, recimo neka je linux-image-3.10.18-23, desna tipka miša, "Odaberi za instalaciju", i kliknete na kvačicu "Primijeni" na toolbaru. Potvrdite i ostale stavke.
Nakon instalacije restartajte računalo.

Zahvaljujem , sad idem vam dva vopija na open danima :-) Nije ugašen pravilno jer cesto kod gasenja javlja greške neke na onom crnom ekranu pa mu duze treba da se ugasi pa ga ja hardwerski ugasim...
Ako može mi pomoći, napišite vi ovdje kako bi trebala biti tocna komanda za fdisk pa odradim ja i to sutra. Neznam ima li utjecaja sto su dosadasnji ispisi iz standard a ne iz admin tj root računa?
Odraditi cu sutra i pokusaj nadogradnje kernela, a dosad sam bio uvjeren da nadogradnje kernela i cjelog os idu kroz redovne nadogradnje. Hvala i za detaljan opis kroz gui s obzirom na moje bjezanje od konzole :-)
Eto, tek sa pojavom problema, po prvi put sam uopce prisiljen kopati po ovim nivoima, kernelima, konzolama, ... Ubuntu se dugo vratio, opensuse sam krace koristio, probao debian, centos, pclinux, čak se i onaj ultimate fino vrtio, i par mintova, i nikad ovakvih problema do ovoga,, Ima di onaj red hat free al da nije centos? :-) Rolling release se isto nekak klonim, a mozda bezrazložno...

Za neke naredbe ima veze jesu li pokrenute iz roota a za neke nema.
Kernel se mogao pokvariti iz više razloga. Ili je područje diska sa kernelom nekako oštećeno pa učitava besmislice ili ispravni kernel pogrešno očitava uređaj i daje pogrešni driver. Iz simptoma čini mi se da je ovo prvo. Prvotno oštećenje dijela diska koje vas je dalje primoralo na hardversko gašenje diska i tako u krug.

Prije reinstaliranja kernela, najpametnije bi bilo provjeriti hard drive.
Možete provjeriti ima li neispravnih sektora na disku sa: Start izbornik -> Pomagala -> Diskovi. Izaberite disk na lijevoj strani pa u gornjem desnom kutu kliknete na gumb s slikom zupčanika i iz menija izaberete SMART.
Prekontrolirajte jesu li sve stavke OK.

Trebalo bi i provjeriti greške na disku sa fsck (to je kao chkdsk na Win). Najbolje zadati naredbu preko terminala da na slijedećem restartu automatski provjeri disk. U terminal upišite:

i restartajte (može sudo reboot u terminalu kad ste već tamo.) :)

Što se tiče instalacije kernela, jedan od razloga je i da se kernel ponovo zapiše na disk (i tako zamijene eventualni neispravni dijelovi). Znači, može se ponovo instalirati ista verzija kernela, ali ako ima novija u repozitoriju, onda bolje ta.

Naredba sudo fdisk -l služi samo da se vidi organizacija diska po particijama.
Možda vam sve ovo trenutno izgleda komplicirano ali je u biti jako jednostavno i logično (linux se može sastavljati i rastavljati kao lego kockice - to ima i dobrih i loših strana, to je jednostavno drugačija filozofija od Windowsa, ne treba očekivati da se u svemu ponaša poput njih).

Ovako: sve sam napravio što mi se ovdje sugeriralo i sada je situacija slijedeća :

-alat disk za provjeru smart statusa ( u linuxu,naravno) kaže za oba diska da je u redu, sve one desne kolone su na ok
-forcefsck je nakon restarta odradio one dvije faze čekiranja diska i nije ništa izbacio a linux je nakon toga normalno startao, a samo čekiranje je trajalo svega par sekundi,
-u synapticu sam odznačio mediubuntu, a odznačio sam i neka dva za ppa/screenlets jer je i za to javljalo grešku kod nadogradnje
-u biosu sam onemogućio flopy kontroler
-u synapticu sam instalirao linux-image, koji je bio sa najvećim brojem ( nudio je i linux image generic sa istim brojem ali njega nisam instalirao nego onaj bez naziva generic) i to je trajalo svega par sekundi,

sada naredba dmesg |tail -n 30; lspci -v ; lsusb; lsmod ; sudo fdisk -l; izbacuje ovo :

Uglavnom, gparted sada radi, usb startup creator sada radi, povremeno skoči poruka sa slike iz prijašnje poruke a te poruke nije bilo prije ovih promjena pa ako netko zna malo više o tome ,,,,

Ako netko bude pri volji i vremenu pa da prouči ispis onih dviju naredbi nakon svih promjena i značenje one poruke sa slike, pa da vidimo jel to sad sve u redu ili još mogu štogod popraviti :-D

Mislim da nije dobro instalirano, trebali ste odabrati slično onome što je već instalirano a takav kernel u mintu ima broj i "generic" i instalacija ne može trajati tek par sekundi.
Bit će sigurnije ako to obavimo preko terminala.

Prvo pogledajte da li instalirani kernel ima broj i "generic":

uname -a
Ako nema, postajte ovamo da vidimo šta je a ako ima onda prekopirajte ovo u terminal:

sudo apt-get clean; sudo apt-get autoremove; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get install --reinstall linux-headers-generic linux-headers-$(uname -r) linux-image-$(uname -r); sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
i restart.
* To je više operacija ali u samo jednoj liniji, radi jednostavnosti kod kopiranja i tako je treba unijeti/prekopirati.

Napravio sam to, trajalo je par minuta, sa 35017 je nadogradio na 35043 onda kod restarta su se u grubu vidla oba kernela, pa sam sa janitorom iz ubuntu tweak izbrisao stari kernel i sada u grubu nudi samo ovaj novi 35043, .

Kaj da sad opet ponovim one komande za one duge izliste ili... ?

Znanja radi, zanima me, zar te nadogradnje nejdu kroz redovnu nadogradnju? Ako cu ikad vise ovo raditi kroz synaptic, da li da prvo deinstaliram staru verziju ili da samo instaliram novu ? Vidim npr da se ni libreoffice nije nadogradio, verzija mi je 36 a na live mint 16 vidim da je 41, a ja sam mislio da ce kroz cijelo vrijeme dok traje podrska mint 14 dobijati nove verzije programa, drajvera, kernela....
