Cijena na BQovim stranicama Android modela je 259.90 EUR plus poštarina. Sviđa mi se ovo prvi u nizu konvergentnih uređaja

BQ Aquaris M10 je Ubuntu tablet sa konvergencijom i biti će prikazan na MWCuUbuntu launches the first in a series of converged devices alongside European partner, BQ.
Aquaris M10 Ubuntu Edition tablet brings full Ubuntu experience to life.
Ubuntu is the only platform that runs both a mobile-based full touch interface and a true PC experience from a single smart device.
Key Ubuntu convergence features
Building on the secure, reliable core of Ubuntu, the native Ubuntu tablet experience also features the ability to access content and services readily through scopes, as popularised on Ubuntu Phone. Hundreds of apps and scopes are already available in the Ubuntu App Store. Additionally, the tablet “side stage” feature allows you to view two different applications on the same screen, with each intuitively optimised for available tablet screen space.
Further convergence features include:
Effortless multitasking and window management;
Full range of desktop applications and thin client support for mobility and productivity;
Integrated services with desktop notifications;
Ability to manage applications and easily organise favoured ones for fast access;
Simple file browsing, file and folder creation and management;
Responsive applications developed for both touch and point/click input and which re-shape to whichever UI is being displayed;
Comprehensive system control and access to the underlying OS if required;
Single application store with a range of compatible third party services;
Communication from the desktop interface using the phone’s telephony and messaging applications;
All the security, updates, and reliability features appreciated by Ubuntu users worldwide.
The Aquaris M10 Ubuntu Edition tablet has a 10.1 inch multitactile FHD screen with Dragontrail Asahi protection. This light and compact tablet offers an excellent balance between sleek design and autonomy: with 8.2 mm of thickness and 470 grams in weight, it includes a 7280 mAh LiPo battery. It has a powerful MediaTek Quad Core MT8163A to 1.5 GHz processor which gives the extremely high performance.

Canonical će demonstrirati Fairphone, OnePlus i Sony mobitele sa community portovima Ubuntu Toucha na MWCu 2016. Mobiteli navodno imaju određenu podršku Canonicala, a proizvođači mobitela znaju za portove i "podržavaju" ih iako nije rečeno u kojoj mjeri.Phones from Sony, OnePlus and Fairphone will be demonstrated running Ubuntu (Touch) later this month, we can reveal.
Canonical plans to feature the work of the community-led Ubuntu porting programme in its booth at this year’s Mobile World Congress event.
The Ubuntu stand will host devices from Fairphone, OnePlus and Sony, all running community-supported versions of Ubuntu (Touch), including efforts spearheaded by the UbuPorts Project.
The Ubuntu Ports programme is a volunteer-led effort to rebuild and package the OS on to pre-existing Android devices.
Devices running community-supported builds of the OS and showcased by Canonical at MWC2016 all have ‘some backing from Canonical’ and some degree of ‘support from [the handset OEM]’, Canonical’s Thibaut Rouffineau told us.
Unlike early porting efforts these Ubuntu build are to said to run ‘very well’ and support over-the-air updates (OTA).
Although none of the ports are under the direct stewardship of Canonical, its engineers and developers have, we’re told, been offering guidance and support to community efforts that seek it.
Furthermore, Fairphone, OnePlus and Sony are said to not only know of the efforts but also ‘support’ them — though the exact degree to which such support extends is, as yet, unknown.
Equally unknown are the specific models we’ll see running at MWC.

New York City's decentralised apps studio ConsenSys is beginning its "Internet-of-People" campaign with Ethereum-based identity on Ubuntu phones and tablets.
ConsenSys and BlockApps are collaborating with the Ubuntu project's commercial sponsor, Canonical, to deliver web wallet and identity system uPort Biometric Identity tools on Ubuntu devices.
The Nimbus/uPort/Ubuntu proof-of-concept will be unveiled at Mobile World Congress on 22 February, said ConsenSys in a statement.
Nimbus permits users secure interaction with the Ethereum blockchain through biometric protection of cryptographic keys. Through this feature, users will be able to access Ethereum to use decentralised applications (DApps) and develop Ethereum blockchain software.
uPort
uPort represents the next generation of identity systems: the first identity system to enable self-sovereign identity, allowing the user to be in complete control of their identity and personal information, said ConsenSys.
The uPort attestation system allows third-party authorities as well as peers to validate the user's information creating both a rich social fabric as well as powering solid KYC/AML systems in the financial sector. Through uPort's selective disclosure system the user has a total overview over which of their peers, business partners or counterparties can access their information.
Ubuntu
The Ubuntu phone allows total control over the information users distribute online including digital identity. Ubuntu phones and tablets are ideal prototyping tools for building the next generation of mobile blockchain apps as they offer a combined development environment and a testing tool for mobile apps.
As well as inheriting from Ubuntu's security and respect for user's confidentiality, these devices build on strong relation created on the server and cloud side between Ubuntu and Ethereum.
Thibaut Rouffineau, head of devices marketing, Canonical, said: "Canonical is keen to support the development of blockchain applications and their expansion from business cloud solutions to mobile consumer applications. Working with ConsenSys and BlockApps on building a platform for the consumption and creation of blockchain-based mobile apps is the realisation of the promise of Ubuntu as the reinvention of personal mobile computing."
Christian Lundkvist, co-founder of uPort said: "A relationship between ConsenSys and Canonical will create a powerful merging of the technological offerings of both organisations. Powered by the proven Ubuntu operating system integrated with the bleeding edge digital identity tools of uPort, the Ubuntu phone will be a great step towards a fully self-sovereign and completely interconnected world."
Joseph Lubin, founder of ConsenSys, said: "The Ubuntu phone is an elegant revisioning of the smartphone experience. And incorporating the uPort persistent, portable Identity tools takes this elegance into a realm beyond, where identity is self-sovereign – fully controlled by the user, deeply secure and, like the phone itself, opens new vistas on the emerging decentralized web services."
Victor Wong, CEO of BlockApps, added: "The Nimbus uPort Convergence collaboration is a proof of concept of how BlockApps are extending the power of Ethereum-based private blockchains to mobile platform."

To bi bila super stvar da još proizvođača podrži Ubuntu, onda bi i popularne aplikacije puno brže došle.Canonical is courting Google’s Android partners in the hope they'll break ranks with the Chocolate Factory and deliver devices powered by Ubuntu.
The Linux shop has received commitments from Android smartphone and tablet makers to ship devices using its Linux with devices “later this year.”
Chief executive Jane Silber told The Register: “We are talking to them [Android OEM partners] regularly and many will be shipping Ubuntu phones. There’s a lot of interest from these folks in supporting another platform.”

Ubuntu Phones running secure biometric identity tools will be demoed at next week’s Mobile World Congress.
Canonical has partnered with ConsenSYS and BlockApps to provide “web wallet and biometric identity tools on Ubuntu devices” using Ethereum, the decentralized public blockchain protocol.
The collaboration sees the BlockApps Nimbus uPort Biometric Digital Identity tools ported to run on Ubuntu phones and tablets.
uPort permits secure interaction with the Ethereum blockchain using biometric and encryption features (e.g., fingerprint reader) on a mobile device by
uPort associates an Ethereum address with a user name, avatar, email address and/or social media account to create a ‘map’ of an individual’s identity.
This ‘persona’ can then be used in a variety of “transactional” contexts on the blockchain, but the ownership of the identity stored in the uPort is determined locally using public and private key pairs.
